Greetings from the 2016 SCSCRA Conference Planning Committee!
This year’s conference planning is winding down and we are pleased to announce full details to all of you. Just as a reminder, please be sure to go ahead and reserve your rooms now at the Inn on the Square in Greenwood. At last count there were less than 20 rooms reserved, so please don’t wait until the last minute to get yours or you may find yourself disappointed. Since all of our events and classes are being held at the Inn, it’s the perfect location to stay for the conference. Be sure to mention SCSCRA 2016 to get our special rate. You can also add a gourmet made-to-order breakfast in the dining room for $10 extra per day... well worth the price! Follow the link to the website of The Inn on the Square and check out their beautiful rooms and facilities. http://innonthesquare.net/
We are so pleased to announce that our charity of choice for the 2016 SCSCRA Convention is Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. We are delighted to be able to help Connie Maxwell with their goals to provide a safe, loving environment to children in need. Connie Maxwell provides a home for some children who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected and some who have been placed by loving caregivers going through difficult situations. In addition to the main campus in Greenwood, Connie Maxwell Children’s Home provides residential care and family support through satellite locations in Chesterfield, Mauldin, Orangeburg and Florence Counties. Because of this, it is truly a “State-wide” organization that we are helping. Each year more than 200 children of diverse needs and backgrounds call Connie Maxwell home. Some children stay as little as a few months, others for many years. Some arrive alone, others with siblings. Most are between the ages of six and eighteen. Children who remain through high school graduation receive financial support for college. Follow the link below to their website for more information on this amazing ministry. http://conniemaxwell.com/ On the registration below there is an opportunity to contribute. All donations will assist Connie Maxwell with their goals to provide a safe, loving environment to children throughout the state in need.
